After beating Florida 3-1 last Friday, Texas volleyball remains No. 4 in the latest national poll conducted by the American Volleyball Coaches Association.

The Longhorns (19-2, 11-2 SEC) picked up 1,317 points following the road win against the Gators. Nebraska, the only undefeated team left in the nation, received all 61 first-place votes from the AVCA voters in Monday’s poll.

Better yet for Texas, the Longhorns remain No. 2 behind Nebraska in Monday’s latest RPI ranking released by the NCAA. The regular season wraps up this week for most teams, and the RPI rankings offer a clue on how the NCAA selection committee will seed the 64-team tournament field.

Nebraska is all but assured of receiving one of the top four seeds, which comes with serving as a host for the two regional rounds. Texas also seems locked in as a top-four seed after staying at No. 2 in the NCAA’s RPI ranking ahead of No. 3 Kentucky, No. 4 Pittsburgh and No. 5 Arizona State.

The Longhorns close out the regular season Wednesday at Auburn and Sunday at home against South Carolina. The SEC tournament takes place Nov. 21-25 in Savannah, Ga., and the NCAA tournament will reveal its bracket Nov. 30.
