Madisonville Christmas Company has opened its first North Texas location in Plano as the holiday retailer begins its fourth season and refreshes its flagship campus in Madisonville.
The company is entering the 2026 holiday season with two major changes: a new seasonal pop-up in Plano and a refreshed Madisonville flagship. The expansion extends a business model built around holiday décor, dining, events and overnight stays beyond its original location and into the Dallas-Fort Worth market. The company also is expanding its online store and plans to offer more seasonal events.
The Madisonville location features a 30,000-square-foot showroom with 6,000-plus curated pieces, two dining spots, The Lawn gathering space and the Yuletide RV Park with Christmas-themed casitas and RV sites.

Here’s what to know about the 2026 season:
How did it start?
The 11-acre Madisonville campus opened in September 2023 just off Interstate 45.
Founder Ashley Rentz and Ami Hutchings, chief commercial officer, met in the decor and design industry. Hutchings worked in floral and seasonal decor for 30 years before the Christmas store launch.

Rentz has a background in decor and she and her husband have been a part of Christmas decorating for 25 years.
Christmas has always been a special time in each of their families. Rentz comes from a large family and she was inspired to open the Christmas store based on some of her family traditions and memories.
“My grandmother was a wonderful decorator. She passed that on to me and that has always been a huge love for us,” Rentz said. “It’s about the traditions families look forward to every year — decorating the tree together, seeing Santa, sharing a meal, listening to Christmas music and simply having time to be together.”
She said aside from decorating, they wanted to create a place where coming to Madisonville could become part of a family’s Christmas tradition.

What is the Madisonville campus about?
The main showroom offers themed spaces curated by Hutchings and filled with artificial trees, garlands, wreaths, ornaments, ribbon, floral designs, oversized statement pieces and tabletop and mantel décor.
The facility launched with the showroom, then expanded with Café twelve25, The Mantel and The Lawn for yard games and outdoor seating, live music and seasonal programming.
Then came the year-round Yuletide RV park with more than 30 RV sites and eight Christmas casitas.
“We saw an opportunity to create something that was missing,” Rentz said. “There are beautiful Christmas stores, and there are holiday attractions, but we wanted to bring great design and a meaningful family experience together in one place. Our goal is for people to leave with more than decorations. We want them to leave with a memory.”

What is new for 2026?
For the first time, a Madisonville Christmas Company location has opened in Plano near Dallas. It is at 5801 Preston Road in Plano in the former Weir’s Furniture Village space.
The 18,000-square-foot seasonal pop-up is intended to bring the Madisonville Christmas experience north.
At the Madisonville location, the company’s collections have been reworked.

“Our red and green Winterberry Garden collection has been completely reworked to have different textures, different florals and different ribbon treatment,” Hutchings said. “We never do the same thing twice. Each year they have been in, they can always expect to see a new interpretation of what any color palette would be.”
She said their neon nostalgia collection looks back at trends from the 1950s and 1960s. This collection has generated the most interest on their social media channels, beyond traditional red and green.
Expect a revamp of their ribbon room with new ribbons from John Mark Enterprises, and they have added to their gift collection.
A Madisonville Christmas Company Open House is Saturday. The day will be filled with Christmas shopping, photos with Mr. and Mrs. Claus, free samples and a special appearance by designer John Mark at 1 p.m. Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day.
