EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — El Paso Libraries announced it will be hosting a LibraryCon to celebrate the stories, characters, and fandoms on Saturday, Sept. 26.
The event will take place at the Main Public Library, located at 501 Oregon Street, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
LibraryCon is a family-friendly, free event that will include hands-on activities, workshops, exhibitions, cosplay, and special programming.
Officials encourage guests to dress as their favorite characters and join the LibraryCon Cosplay Contest.
“LibraryCon is a celebration of creativity, imagination, and the many things that bring our community together,” El Paso Public Libraries Director Norma Martinez said. “Whether you’re a longtime comic book fan or simply looking for a fun day with the family, there’s something for everyone. We’re excited to open our doors and invite El Paso to come dressed up, get creative, and celebrate fandom with us!”
Officials said Fabz Shop will provide K-pop-themed activities.
El Paso Public Libraries will host two other events before the LibraryCon:
