Amber Glenn‘s Dancing with the Stars journey has begun.

Plano’s Olympic figure-skating champion made her debut on the ballroom floor on night two of the DWTS Season 35 premiere on Wednesday night.

Glenn danced the cha-cha with her professional partner Pasha Pashkov to Santana’s hit song “Smooth.” Watch their performance below:

The pair received sixes (on a scale of 10) from each of the three judges, totaling 18 out of 30 points for their opening performance, and they were among the duos saved from elimination at the end of the episode. The judges praised Glenn’s confidence and potential while offering some constructive technical feedback as well.

“She attacked the cha-cha like a warrior queen,” Bruno Tonioli said. “I love the attitude. You really went for it.”

Derek Hough pointed to Glenn’s figure-skating background and encouraged her to work on using the floor more powerfully instead of gliding across it like on the ice. Carrie Ann Inaba encouraged Glenn to work on the partnership aspect of her dancing, noting her background in an individual sport.

In their post-dance interview, Pashkov called the possibilities alongside Glenn “limitless” and said their opening score was a “great start.”

Viewers can tune in to follow Glenn’s progression with new DWTS episodes airing weekly on Tuesday nights. The two-night premiere is available to stream on Hulu now.
