LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – Texas Attorney General and U.S. Senate candidate Ken Paxton made a campaign stop in Lubbock on Saturday, marking his second visit to the Hub City during his bid for Capitol Hill.
Paxton previously visited Lubbock in May during his Republican primary runoff against incumbent Sen. John Cornyn. Backed by an 11th-hour endorsement from former President Donald Trump just a week before Election Day, Paxton secured the nomination with nearly 64% of the vote.
Heading into the November general election, Paxton is pitching an “America First” platform centered on lower living costs and economic relief for Texans, while pledging to carry forward Trump’s policy agenda.
“I met with ranchers, business owners, law enforcement officers, parents, faith leaders, and hardworking Texans from every corner of our state, and I’ll tell you what I’ve learned,” Paxton said. “The best part of our state is not just its scenery or even its great Texas BBQ — those are amazing, but it’s the people of Texas. It’s you.
