LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) -We’re about to trade heat and sunshine for something that feels a lot more like fall.
First, we have to get through Sunday.
Most of the day should be fairly quiet, but a cold front moving into the region could help fire up some scattered storms by late afternoon and evening, especially east of the Caprock.
Storms possible this afternoon(KCBD)
Not everyone will get a storm, but the ones that do pop up could be strong. The strongest could produce wind gusts around 70 mph and quarter-size hail.
Then the front moves through and the weather starts to change.
Highs this week will take a nose dive on Monday(KCBD)
Cooler air settles on Sunday night, and by Monday, temperatures take a drop.
Moisture streaming in from the southwest will keep clouds and daily rain chances around for much of the week.
