SAN ANTONIO – A woman and her two children escaped their home after her ex-boyfriend allegedly threatened them with a kitchen knife, court records show.
The woman told investigators she returned to her home on Barron’s Den on Wednesday afternoon after picking up her children and found Corey Leonard King, 44, hiding in a bathroom.

When she refused to speak with him, King allegedly grabbed a kitchen knife, pointed it at her, and threatened to kill her and the children.
The woman told the children to go outside. She said she spoke with King for about 10 minutes because she was afraid he would become violent.
After noticing deputies outside, King allegedly hid in the attic, allowing the woman to get out of the home safely. No one was injured.
King later surrendered and is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
