Dallas-Fort Worth residents can expect a slight cooldown with a chance of rain at the start of the week.
Juan Hernandez, National Weather Service meteorologist, said rain chances will start to go down starting Tuesday, but temperatures will not be as hot as they have been.
Severe weather is not expected on the rainy days, but Hernandez said strong wind gusts could occur.
Carrying an umbrella is recommended on rainy days.
“We’ve had very hot days over the last couple of weeks and months. We’re going to cool down just a little bit, so instead of seeing those 100 degrees that we’ve had basically all of August and September, we’re going to go down to about 92 degrees,” Hernandez said.
