HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — A homicide investigation is underway after a man was shot and killed in northeast Houston on Tuesday afternoon, according to investigators.
The Houston Police Department said officers initially received a call a bout a stabbing at about 1:50 p.m. When officers arrived at the scene, located in the 8800 block of Lockwood near Laura Koppe Road, they said they found a man had been shot.
Authorities said the man was pronounced dead at the scene. Officials did not immediately reveal the victim’s identity.
Investigators said a male suspect was detained at the scene.
SkyEye13 was over the scene on Tuesday afternoon, capturing images of law enforcement investigating the reported homicide.
ABC13 crews are en route to gather more information about the incident.
