LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – The Hub City BBQ is back in Lubbock, rolling out a fresh format aimed at supporting a local nonprofit.
Organized by the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce, this year’s event shifted to a member-focused format. The festivities kicked off with the “Ribs and Raiders” dinner at Cook’s Garage, serving up great food for a great cause.
Proceeds from the evening benefited High Point Village, a local community dedicated to enriching the lives of individuals with special needs. Attendees enjoyed live music, a charity auction, and barbecue crafted by 11 pitmasters.
The celebration continues with the main cook-off, where more than 80 teams will face off across five distinct barbecue categories.
The event is exclusively open to members of the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce.
