A Fox 4 reporter is departing the Dallas-based station after two years.
Payton May announced via social media that her last day at the station (KDFW-TV) is Tuesday, Sept. 22. She had been a reporter on the “Good Day” team since joining Fox 4 in September 2024.
“From the moment I crossed the Red River two years ago, I knew this place would be special,” May wrote online. “Every single 2am alarm was worth it to spend the morning with the most talented team of journalists. Being a part of the ‘Good Day’ family is an honor I will never take for granted.”

May’s Fox 4 colleague Steve Noviello took to social media about her departure.
“In the short time she has been here she has made a huge impact, not only as a colleague, but as a friend,” he wrote. “On the air, she had us all belly laughing in moments of joy and was a steady voice of comfort and objectivity in moments of sadness.”
May hasn’t announced what’s next for her.
