HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — Houston Fire Department crews battled a fire in an apartment complex on the city’s west side overnight.
The fire happened on Richmond Avenue near Dunvale Road around 1:30 a.m. on Thursday, HFD said.
Fire officials said two apartments suffered fire damage and four more had smoke damage.
Everyone got out before firefighters arrived, the department said, and no one was hurt.
Both the Red Cross and the property manager were working to get everyone in the affected apartments a place to stay, according to HFD.
