All westbound lanes of Interstate 20 are closed following an overnight collision involving a semi-truck in Dallas.

Early Friday morning at 2:43 a.m., a Dallas Fire-Rescue HazMat team was dispatched to Interstate 20 near Dowdy Ferry Road to address a fuel spill. The collision involved a single overturned semi-truck, and one person was sent to the hospital. Dallas Fire-Rescue was unable to determine an immediate cause for the accident, and the investigation is ongoing.

The Texas Department of Transportation estimates the interstate should reopen at 9:45 a.m. Detours are currently in place, and motorists should follow signs to keep traffic flowing smoothly.

This is a developing story and will be updated.
