On September 21, 2026, Alejandro Garza, a Judson High School graduate, died at age 19 in a motor vehicle accident. Days later, the Chick-fil-A at Woodlake Parkway and FM 78, where Garza worked, posted an emotional tribute to the teen on Facebook.
“For more than three years, Alejandro was such an important part of our Woodlake Parkway family,” the restaurant wrote in a post. “We were so incredibly proud to watch him grow and become a leader this past year, something we know meant so much to him.”

MySA reached out to Garza’s older sister, Paola Garza, to learn more about the young man’s life, including his work ethic and future ambitions.
“He would work six days out of the week. If Chick-fil-A was open on Sunday, he probably would be there working,” Paola Garza said of her brother during a phone interview. “When he had his free time, he would try and detail cars or cut grass. Like, whatever could get him money, he was doing that.”
She went on to mention that Garza had ambitions to join law enforcement one day, noting that he dressed up as a police officer for three consecutive Halloweens when he was younger and that he proudly drove a retired police vehicle.

Alejandro Garza learned to live life on his own terms
Paola Garza remarked on many aspects of her brother, Alejandro Garza, from his mischievous childhood personality to his love for his friends to his knack for picking up new skills easily. She said that, growing up, Garza would often look up to and imitate her ways of being and remained a loving brother even as he matured and gained more independence.
“He’s my only brother, so I did everything with him. When he was little, he always wanted to do every single thing I was doing. Like, if I was carrying a bag of popcorn, he needed to be carrying that bag of popcorn too,” Paola Garza said.
As he grew older, Garza lived life on his own terms, exploring and pursuing his interests with the same dedication he later showed in his work. Playing drums, working on cars and spending time with his friends were among his favorite hobbies over the years.

“His friends said that he was like the father figure of the friend group. Like, if anybody had questions for advice, they would go to him,” Paola Garza said. “Everybody could always count on him, like he was always there.”
Garza was dedicated to his role at Chick-fil-A
Chick-fil-A’s Facebook post went on to describe Garza’s personal and professional growth within the company. It also highlighted the fun he brought to his various roles, including dressing as the store’s cow mascot to greet customers.
“He was our friend. He was deeply loved and built friendships throughout our entire restaurant. We laughed with him, worked alongside him, depended on him, and made so many memories with him. Our restaurant will simply never be the same without him,” the post said. “Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever remembered.”
