“Well Central Texas I didn’t go too far! Just a few miles down the road!” Leh wrote on social media, adding that she was excited to serve the Austin community and “ready to hit the ground running.”

She also had a message for her former viewers: “P.S. Waco I miss you so much! I’ll be back to visit!”

Leh announced her departure from KXXV in August, saying Waco had become home during her time at the station. She said she had poured her heart into covering Central Texas, built close friendships and was grateful for how welcoming the community had been.

“But I’m truly excited for the next chapter of my story,” Leh wrote at the time.

Leh joined KXXV in August 2023. A Pennsylvania native, she moved to Texas as a child, first to Kingsville and later to Kirbyville, where she graduated from high school in 2017.

She went on to attend Lamar University, playing on the women’s tennis team for four years before graduating with a broadcasting degree in 2021. Before arriving in Waco, Leh worked for KBMT in Beaumont as a reporter, editor and producer for two years.

It remains unclear whether Leh’s departure was connected to the cuts. Chron has reached out to Leh for comment.
