SAN ANTONIO — A 33-year-old woman was hospitalized after police said a driver intentionally swerved and struck her as she was walking on the East Side.
The incident happened around 9:40 p.m. Friday in the 600 block of North Mel Waiters Way near East Crockett Street.
Police said the woman was walking on the sidewalk when a red vehicle allegedly swerved toward her and hit her, causing serious bodily injury.
The vehicle continued south on North Mel Waiters Way without stopping to check on the woman, police said.
The woman was transported to a local hospital in stable condition. No arrests have been made.
The investigation remains ongoing.
