SCURRY COUNTY, Texas (KCBD) – An 18-year-old from San Antonio died after a crash in Scurry County late Friday night.
Around 10 p.m., DPS troopers responded to a single-vehicle crash on US Highway 84 and FM 1606.
Crash investigators determined the driver of a passenger car, James DiAngelo Brown Bakari, was traveling northbound on US 84 at a high rate of speed in the passing lane.
Bakari then lost control of the vehicle before it overturned.
DPS reports Bakari was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and was ejected from the vehicle.
