Dallas-Fort Worth residents can expect rain chances and a cooldown near the end of the week.
Monique Sellers, National Weather Service meteorologist, said that after a long period of hot and dry weather, this week will follow a more active pattern with the return of rain and storm chances.
Sellers said the week will start on the warm side, but rain chances will kick in late Tuesday or early Wednesday and remain throughout the week.
“It is going to knock our temperatures down to be a little bit more like what we’re expecting for the late September, early October,” she said.
Sellers recommends that residents keep an eye on the forecast each day and keep an umbrella close by.
“Welcome change after such a long stretch of heat here,” she said.
