AUSTIN (KXAN) — A Williamson County jury has convicted a Cedar Park man on a cocaine possession charge.

Jurors found 45-year-old Haybert Ronald Lee guilty on September 22 after prosecutors said officers discovered more than five grams of cocaine inside a Cedar Park home where he was not allowed to be.

According to court records, Lee was arrested earlier this year after his girlfriend called 911 and reported he was inside her home despite a protective order prohibiting him from being there.

When officers arrived, they found Lee inside the home. Investigators said a bag containing what appeared to be cocaine was found near larger bags of the drug, along with a digital scale and two identification cards belonging to Lee. Testing by the Texas Department of Public Safety later confirmed the substance was cocaine.

Lee denied ownership of the drugs, claiming they belonged to a teenager living in the home.

Prosecutors also cited Lee’s criminal history, which includes convictions for robbery, assaulting a public servant, and a 2025 assault involving a former girlfriend. At the time of his arrest, he was also out on bond in a separate assault case involving his current girlfriend.

Lee was sentenced to 30 years in prison.
