North Texas will see a hot and sunny Tuesday before a wetter, cooler weather pattern moves into the region for the rest of the week.
According to the National Weather Service’s Fort Worth office, Tuesday is forecast to see a high temperature of 94 degrees, but the temperature will feel closer to 99 degrees during the afternoon. Temperatures will be in the mid to upper 70s until about 10 a.m.
Starting Wednesday, Dallas-Fort Worth is forecast to see widespread rainfall and storms, with potential flash flooding possible as the remnants of Hurricane Polo move into the Southwest.
Cooler temperatures may follow the storms into North Texas this weekend due to a Pacific cold front, according to the weather service. High temperatures are forecast to drop into the 80s by Thursday, with low temperatures potentially in the upper 60s and low 70s.
Parts of North Texas could see rain Friday as well, but the rainfall will likely be less widespread.
