Whether you’re logging extensive hard workouts or enduring a brutal shift standing on hard floors, your feet take an absolute beating day in and day out. For years, the market for “recovery slides” has been pretty underwhelming; they are mostly thick slabs of foam that offer a little extra cushion but stop short of real therapeutic relief. If you wanted serious heat or massage therapy for tired feet, you usually had to tether yourself to bulky soaking basins, massage guns, or stationary rolling devices that forced you to sit pinned in one place. Enter the Nike Air Zoom Hyperslide, a Nike × Hyperice footwear crossover that brings active thermal and percussion therapy right to your feet. And unlike traditional footwear recovery gear, you can actually use them while you walk.

At first glance, the most eye-catching feature is the magnetically connected Hyperslide Pod resting on the adjustable strap. These removable pods pack Hyperice recovery technology, offering three distinct levels of HyperHeat technology. They can change the temperature from 109℉ to 117℉ and offer three customizable vibration frequencies: 50Hz, 75Hz, and 100Hz. Users can operate each pod independently, sync them using the onboard buttons, or dive deeper into custom sessions by pairing the slides via Bluetooth with the Hyperice App. You can also wear the slides without the pod when you want a normal slide.

While they look a bit like futuristic tech gear, they are fully functional sandals built for actual movement. Beneath the tech-heavy strap sits a low-profile Nike Air Zoom sole that delivers the soft, responsive comfort you would expect from a standard athletic slide, while the active massage goes to work. Out of the box, standard recovery sessions run automatically for 15 minutes before shutting off, though you can easily extend your session length using the mobile app. Each slide can be operated independently, and the Hyperslide Pods can also be synced through the Hyperice app.

The pods charge via USB-C in about three hours and offer up to an hour of battery life, depending on the heat and vibration settings. They are TSA-carry-on-friendly for traveling athletes and eligible for purchase with FSA or HSA funds. The slides are rated IP21, meaning they’re not waterproof but can handle dripping water. Available in Orewood and Black colorways, they span a size range from US men’s 4 to 18.

This Nike × Hyperice pivot into footwear is interesting, blurring the line between wearable recovery tech and casual post-workout sandals. By breaking away from the couch and letting you take your thermal and percussion therapy completely on the move, the Hyperslide offers a novel way to melt away foot fatigue wherever your day takes you. If you want to grab a pair, they are available directly through Nike.
