Online records from the Smith County Jail show 37-year-old Alicia Evonne Sanchez, also known as Alicia Evonne Seguin, was arrested on September 30 and charged with continuous sexual assault of a child younger than 14.
Investigators allege Sanchez took the child to the office of former physician Kenneth Donald Haygood multiple times between 2019 and 2023, KBTX reported. She allegedly stayed in the room while Haygood sexually assaulted the child at least 10 times.
“The child would cry and plead for him to stop, but was ignored or told, ‘this is what doctors do,” according to the outlet.

The child later disclosed the alleged abuse to another adult and a counselor, KBTX reported. Investigators said Haygood gave Sanchez Adderall and other medication after the visits, the media outlet noted.
Haygood was sentenced in 2025 to eight years in prison after pleading guilty to other sexual assault charges, jail records show.
The relationship between Sanchez and the child was immediately known.
Sanchez remains held on a $3 million bond, per KBTX.
