TGIF!

The long-awaited rain is bringing cooler temperatures — something to take advantage of while it’s here! As the temperatures cool down, head to AT&T Stadium to watch Monster Jam, where monster trucks heat up in stunt competitions, crazy challenges and high-energy races.

If you want something more relaxing, the Fall Gallery Night will offer free tours to seven art galleries in Downtown Arlington. If you get hungry or thirsty during your art crawl, Division Brewing, The Tin Cup and TJ’s Kitchen have partnered with the gallery night.

If you’re looking for something to do after the art crawl, Levitt Pavilion is celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month with a full afternoon and evening of live music, dance performances and a vendor market. Take the opportunity to show off your salsa moves with Salsa at the Gardens. Check the Levitt Pavilion website for the full itinerary.

Another festival for the family to attend is Goretti Fest, which will include a wide range of food, carnival games, live music, a petting zoo and even a helicopter landing and take off. This is an event that has been held at my elementary school, St. Maria Goretti, for years — but we sure didn’t get a helicopter back then!

Whatever you decide to do, let us know what you’re up to. Have a great weekend, and see you next week!
