LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – Lubbock residents are walking alongside those affected by Alzheimer’s, one step at a time.
The annual Walk to End Alzheimer’s was Saturday morning out at Adventure Park.
Alzheimer’s disease is one of the leading causes of death across the U.S., affecting more than 7 million Americans and 13 million others providing care. That’s according to the Alzheimer’s Association.
The association says the Lubbock community consistently shows up for this event by the hundreds, joining in the fight against something that affects so many.
The Alzheimer’s Association offers various resources and information, from early detection to help for a loved one. You can find all of that at alz.org.
