Houston SWAT officers were called to a Houston home early Saturday morning after a shooting left one man injured.
Police were called to the home on Fairway Drive, along Fairway near the 610 South Loop, about 4:10 am, where they found the victim wounded, EMS was called and the man was taken to a hospital.
Looking for the shooter, police tried to talk the people inside the home into coming out, but they didn’t respond, so Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) members set up an area around the home and tried to coax the people out, and about 4 am they did come out, where they were questioned.
Houston police say they know the area is frequented by transients and homeless, and it appears the shooting may have occurred because someone wanted the victim to leave the house.
