SAN ANTONIO – Two off-duty Bexar County Sheriff’s Office deputies are out of a job after being arrested overnight in San Antonio, according to the sheriff’s office.

The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office said deputies Damian Villegas, 19, and Damien Trevino, 25, were arrested by the San Antonio Police Department on Oct. 4, 2026.

Villegas was arrested for reckless driving, and Trevino was arrested for driving while intoxicated.

The sheriff’s office said Villegas had been employed with the agency for one year and Trevino for four years. Both deputies resigned in lieu of termination, the agency said.

The sheriff’s office said both deputies’ licenses are being discharged with TCOLE, effective immediately, under dishonorable conditions.

A criminal investigation is being conducted by the San Antonio Police Department, according to the sheriff’s office.

Sheriff Javier Salazar said, “Our zero-tolerance stance is well known. Any employee who chooses to drink and drive or willfully endanger the public should not be surprised when they’re suddenly unemployed.”
