HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — An investigation is underway after officers shot a woman who reportedly shot her partner at an apartment complex in northwest Houston on Sunday morning.
The Houston Police Department said that officers responded to a call in the 5800 block of Hardway Street at about 11:15 a.m.
According to investigators, the woman shot her partner in the complex, then started walking down the street. When officers arrived, police said she began firing at them. HPD said officers returned fire and shot her.
Officials said the woman and her partner were taken to the hospital. Police said both of their conditions are unknown at this time.
Authorities did not immediately reveal the identities of the people involved. HPD also did not say if any officers were injured in the shooting.
