TEXAS — Events to honor our veterans are taking place across the country and the Lone Star State. The 69th annual Veterans Day parade in Austin is expecting a big turnout.
The event was organized by the Military Veterans Empowerment Network.
The parade kicks off at the Congress Avenue Bridge and features junior ROTC and ROTC units, first responders, veteran organizations and other volunteers. It wraps up at the state Capitol building, where there is a resource fair for veterans that starts at 10 a.m. The official ceremony occurs at 11:11 a.m.
