As of this evening, nice weather will continue as we start another week and the fall-like temperatures will likely continue into next weekend. The afternoon maximum temperatures will begin in the 70s for Lubbock on Monday. That’s still slightly below normal (80 degrees) but nice. The remainder of this week the afternoon temperatures will climb to the above normal with possible mid-80s by Wednesday.

As upper level high pressure returns to the region the potential for rain will remain low until late week.
There may be some shower/storm development by Friday and Saturday but otherwise a quiet week ahead for Lubbock and the South Plains.
