Fort Worth police are asking for the public’s help to find the driver responsible for a hit-and-run crash on Interstate 35W that left an Army veteran motorcyclist seriously injured.

The crash happened about 9:30 p.m. Sept. 27 in the 1200 block of North Freeway, also known as I-35W northbound, at the Northside Drive and Yucca Avenue exit, police said in a social media post.

Police said witnesses described the car as a gray sedan, potentially a Toyota.

Kris Rodriguez was riding his motorcycle when a car sideswiped him, knocked him off the motorcycle and left the scene, his family told KDFW-TV.

The 29-year-old, who spent nearly a decade in the military and had served in Iraq and Jordan, had recently returned home, family members said.

Rodriguez was taken to a hospital in critical condition with a broken clavicle, four broken ribs, a ruptured bladder and a broken pelvis, his father, Chris Amos, said.

Anyone with information is asked to contact detectives at 817-392-4869.
