COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) – Texas A&M University Police say a robbery reported last month at the West Campus Garage did not take place.
In an update released Monday, police said their investigation found no robbery occurred on Sept. 28 and that no threat to the campus community was connected to the report.
The original crime alert said University Police received a report around 3:30 p.m. that day of a robbery on Level 1 of the West Campus Garage.
At the time, a person reported that an unknown individual sprayed her with pepper spray and stole her Corps of Cadets freshman spurs.
The university did not immediately provide additional details publicly about what investigators determined happened.
