Sue Barnett, 81, passed away Sunday October 4th with her daughter by her side. Sue was born and raised in Slaton, TX, graduating with the class of 1963. Sue loved to learn and continued her education at TTU, LCU, and Austin College. She moved to Lubbock in 1977. She spent years working for a State representative and spent time traveling back and forth to Austin to work in the State Capitol. When her time there ended she went to work for Southwestern Bell yellow pages, traveling West Texas selling business ads. She made friends everywhere she went and was blessed to have many longtime friends.
Sue was preceded in death by her parents John and Corene Reed and a brother, Lavoy Reed. She leaves behind her children Kristie Hahn and Scott Ford, 3 grandsons, Tanner Hahn, Jake Hahn and Dominic Ford as well a great granddaughter Eliza Hahn.
