Founded by RDCWorld — a group of Texas natives known for comedy videos about anime, sports, memes and other pop-culture topics — Dream Con will return to Houston June 18-20, 2027, for “DreamTeenth,” which coincides with Juneteenth weekend.

The announcement comes as the convention celebrated its highest attendance to date, with more than 45,000 people flocking to the George R. Brown Convention Center in June, according to a release by the organization.

“Houston has embraced Dream Con in a way that has allowed us, our community and our partners to keep imagining what this event can become,” said Johnathan Newton, Co-Founder of Dream Con, in a written statement. “We’re excited to break the curse, come back for year three and make DreamTeenth a weekend to remember.”

People looking to purchase Dream Con’s Early Badge can do so on Oct. 16, with weekend badges starting at $150. Guests, programming and special events will be announced in the coming months.
