Plano’s planning and zoning commission approved a public hearing to be held for the Collin Creek redevelopment to potentially move the location of a planned hotel.
In a nutshell
Centurion American, the developer for the planned mixed-use development at the former Collin Creek Mall, is seeking to change the location for a planned 49,946-square-foot hotel on the development.
Senior City Planner Lilyana Morejon said the city is required to call a public hearing if a development cannot receive signatures from all property owners in the district for a change to the current development plan.
Morejon said the public hearing will follow the regular process for zoning cases. The city must post signage near the property 20 days before a public hearing for a zoning case.
The background
Construction for the redevelopment is expected to continue through 2028, per previous reporting, with a large portion of the single-family and multifamily housing of the project expected to be completed by the end of 2026. Digging for an underground parking garage took place in 2025.
Plano’s planning and zoning commission previously approved a revised site plan for one of two parks in the development.
