LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – The northbound I-27 access road is currently closed at South Loop 289. Watch a live look in the player above.
Lubbock Fire Rescue reports a tall semi-truck headed northbound on the access road hit the eastbound Loop 289 frontage road bridge late Tuesday afternoon.
Lubbock Fire Rescue is on scene at South Loop 289 and Interstate 27 for an 18 wheeler that has struck the overpass over Interstate 27. The bridge struck is the east bound frontage road of South Loop 289 over the north bound frontage road of Interstate 27. pic.twitter.com/1y7CxZuqas

Traffic is currently blocked on the northbound access road. Drivers can enter the interstate; they are not able to go under the South Loop bridge to enter the cloverleaf to westbound Loop 289.
The main lanes of both Interstate 27 and Loop 289 are open and moving well.
There are no serious injuries. The first call reporting this crash came in at 5:31 p.m. Tuesday.
