AUSTIN, Texas — The CBS Austin weather team says the first 14 days of October have ranked the hottest on record, beating last year’s record. As of Tuesday, it’s also been 37 days since the last high temperature below 90 degrees. With this heat, Central Texas has also been on a dry streak of 37 days straight.
The CBS Austin weather team predicts a weak front will arrive this weekend, but the front may not end our record high temperatures. Another stronger cold front may hit the area next week.
