Justin Timberlake is bringing his Nashville club, The Twelve Thirty Club, to Texas — and like everything in the state, it’ll be bigger. The four-level club will transform an old post office building in Austin to include a restaurant, a speakeasy, lounges, and live performance spaces.
The historic building is located at 210 W. 6th St. and will take $30 million to renovate. It’s more than 100 years old, built sometime from 1912-1914, and was gifted to the University of Texas in the 1960s. The project in partnership with Sam Fox of Author & Edit Hospitality, with New York design studio Avroko leading the design, will start construction in early 2026 and open in late 2027, according to a press release.
“I’ve walked past this building for years, long before we opened the Nashville Twelve Thirty Club, always imagining what it could become,” said Fox in a press release. “It’s been more than a six-year journey to get here, and this place has an incredible presence, like it’s been waiting for the right moment and the right kind of energy. We want to honor its history while creating something completely original for Austin.”
Each level will offer something different across 35,000 square feet in total (which is 10,000 than the flagship in Nashville). They will all be distinct, and the Austin location as a whole will be recognizable even though the same design firm has worked on both locations.
Main level, The Supper Club: an all-day dining and entertainment space for lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch. There will be live performances during dinner and there will be an “expansive plaza” attached.Lower level, Speakeasy: a dimly lit cocktail lounge that will be open late for DJ sets.Second level, Honorary Member private members club: a lounge inspired by old-school supper clubs. Members can hang out in the private lounge, host guests, make VIP priority reservations throughout the club, and attend members-only events like dinners, wine events, and “other creative gatherings.” The space overlooks the Supper Club on the main level, which means that members can see the shows from above.Top level, private event space: an area that can host up to 80 guests. They can book bespoke dinners, cocktail receptions, and other celebrations.
“After what we created in Nashville, I’m thrilled to be bringing The Twelve Thirty Club to Austin,” said Timberlake. “This city truly gets live music, and getting to restore the soul of such an iconic building while working with Sam again is incredible. We’re being intentional with how the space carries sound across every level, because how music lives in the room is just as important as the design. We’re creating a space that people will want to experience again and again.”
