EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — Cosmic Baseball is headed to El Paso in 2027 as part of an expanded national tour that will bring its blacklight baseball experience to Southwest University Park.

The Cosmic Takeover Tour: Baseball will visit 44 Minor League Baseball stadiums nationwide, including the home of the El Paso Chihuahuas, organizers announced Monday.

Cosmic Baseball features the Cosmic Chili Peppers and the Glow Mojis competing in games played under black lights, with UV-reactive uniforms and equipment, a live DJ and interactive fan entertainment.

The 2027 tour will also include new production features, including a 360-degree fireworks display, according to the announcement.

The energy on our 2026 tour was absolutely electric, blowing past every expectation we set,” Cosmic Baseball owner and founder Chris Martin said in a statement. “For 2027, we’ve dialed up the production, added groundbreaking new in-game features, and created a glowing nighttime performance that fans will be talking about long after the final light goes out.

Organizers said the 2026 tour included 74 sold-out games in 30 markets and drew more than 750,000 fans.

El Paso is one of several Texas stops announced for the 2027 tour, joining San Antonio, Sugar Land, Round Rock and Corpus Christi. Albuquerque will also host a stop at Rio Grande Credit Union Field at Isotopes Park.

Dates and ticket information for the El Paso event have not yet been announced. Fans can join a ticket lottery for the chance to purchase tickets for the Southwest University Park stop.
