Texas Tech University is expanding its participation in Texas Free College Application Week, giving more
prospective students the opportunity to apply for undergraduate and graduate programs
without paying an application fee.

From Oct. 12-18, Texas residents can apply to eligible undergraduate programs at Texas
Tech for free through ApplyTexas as part of the statewide initiative coordinated by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating
Board.

This year, Texas Tech is taking the initiative a step further by waiving application
fees for Texas residents applying to eligible graduate programs during the same period. Current Texas Tech undergraduate students can also apply
to the Graduate School for free during the week, regardless of their state of residency.

Undergraduate Application  Graduate Application

“Free Application Week is an important opportunity to remove a barrier for students
who are considering Texas Tech and encourage them to take that next step in their
educational journey,” said Jamie Hansard, vice president for Enrollment Management. “This year, we are especially excited to expand our participation to include graduate
programs for the first time, opening the opportunity to even more Texans and current
students. By making it easier to apply, we can connect more students with the educational
opportunities available at Texas Tech while continuing to develop the talented graduates
Texas needs to support its growing workforce.”

Texas Free College Application Week is designed to reduce financial barriers for prospective
students and encourage more Texans to pursue higher education. Texas Tech’s expansion
of the initiative to graduate applicants extends that goal to students considering
advanced degrees and helps strengthen the pipeline of highly educated professionals
entering the Texas workforce.

Texas Tech offers more than 150 undergraduate degree programs and more than 200 graduate
and professional programs, providing pathways for students at every stage of their
education and career.

Prospective undergraduate students can learn more and apply through ApplyTexas. Prospective graduate students can learn more about Texas Tech graduate programs
and application requirements on the Graduate Admissions website.

Texas Tech Online’s accelerated eight-week programs are not dependent on the promotion; applications
to those programs are free.
