  • October 8, 2026

A 62-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a crash Wednesday night in north Houston.

The crash happened around 10:58 p.m. Oct. 7 in the 8500 block of West Montgomery Road.

Investigators said the motorcyclist was traveling eastbound on West Montgomery Road when a white Toyota Camry made a left turn and collided with the motorcycle.

The impact ejected the motorcyclist from the bike. Houston Fire Department crews responded and pronounced the 62-year-old victim dead at the scene.

Police said the man was killed on his birthday, Oct. 7.

The driver of the Toyota, a 31-year-old, was taken to an area hospital in stable condition.

According to investigators, the driver may have been impaired at the time of the crash.

Police are still working to determine who was at fault.

Houston police Sgt. Griffith is expected to provide additional information as the investigation continues.
