Taylor Sheridan’s oil drama Landman is returning to Texas Christian University in Fort Worth for its third season. The Paramount+ series, led by Billy Bob Thornton, is set to shoot scenes on campus in October, with students getting a closer look. Nearly 30 students will shadow the production crew during filming. Film, television and digital media professor Tricia Jenkins said the experience offers students an up-close view of a major television production and how its different units contribute to the finished work. Around 30 university cheerleaders will also have a role tied to Ainsley Norris, played by Michelle Randolph. The character set off to join the university’s cheerleading team during Season 2. Landman has filmed on campus for three consecutive seasons. Returning stars include Thornton, Demi Moore, Andy Garcia, Ali Larter and Sam Elliott, with Michael Kelly joining the cast. The production recently sought background actors to play college students. Paramount+ has not announced an official release date for Season 3.
