NPR’s Tiny Desk has featured a slew of indie bands and global pop stars, and this month, for Hispanic Heritage Month, San Antonio-based Los Texmaniacs can add themselves to the impressive roster.

The band, made up of Max Baca, nephew Josh Baca, Noel Hernandez and Chris Rivera, was part of the line-up for El Tiny, which included weekly, albeit miniature, concerts from Latino bands such as Brazilian singer-songwriter Tim Bernardes, Mexican ska band Panteón Rococó, Yendry and Los Mirlos.

For this go-around, the Grammy Award-winning group, joined by NPR’s Felix Contreras, played classics like “Ay Mama,” “Boom and a Bang” and “Herido” as well as a new song, “Dejalo (Let it go) from their upcoming 2027 record, Nuevo Crossroads.

The band teased the October 8 release of the El Tiny appearance with a September 29 post noting, “The Maniacs have invaded Tiny Desk. 🪗🔥
