A Tarrant County man will spend 30 years in prison after admitting to posing as a contractor to defraud customers, officials with the district attorney’s office said.
Jeremy Jerod Zeno was charged with theft of property valued at $300,000 or more after being accused of stealing money from five victims, according to a statement. Zeno would collect victims’ funds and later withdraw them in cash, which has not been recovered.
Zeno had numerous victims and continued operating the scheme even after his initial arrest, officials said.
At the time of the offenses he committed in Tarrant County, Zeno was on deferred adjudication for a similar crime committed in Hood County, according to the statement.
