LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – Two Lubbock-area Firehouse Subs restaurants are hosting Touch-the-Truck events Saturday in honor of National Fire Protection Association Fire Prevention Week.
The events are scheduled from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at both locations.
The participating restaurants are:
Firehouse Subs Canyon West, 5027 Milwaukee Ave., Ste. 200, Lubbock, TX 79407, with the Lubbock Fire Department
Firehouse Subs Covenant Park, 7604 82nd St., Lubbock, TX 79424-4987, with the Wolfforth Fire Department
Touch-the-Truck events are designed for the entire family and give guests a hands-on opportunity to experience a fire truck while meeting the first responders who operate them.
The Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation is supporting the NFPA’s efforts by providing kids and families with co-branded fire safety materials featuring Sparky the Fire Dog. Attendees will also have the opportunity to learn about fire safety from local first responders.
Event dates and times differ at participating Firehouse Subs restaurants. Visit firehousesubs.com/touchthetruck for more information.
