The Great Pumpkin Hunt 

The city of Bellaire invites children under 10 to hunt for toys, candy and pumpkins filled with prizes, while wearing their favorite Halloween costumes. Face painting and live music will also be available.

Nature Discovery Center Fall Festival & Pumpkin Patch

Located in Rus Pitman Park, the Nature Discovery Center’s pumpkin patch and fall festival will feature plenty of pumpkins, fun festival games, crafts and activities, photo ops and food. Wagon rides will also be available. 

West U Halloween Dash and Kids Fun Run 

For its 15th anniversary, the event will celebrate West University Place with a Halloween 5K and Kids Fun Run. Residents are encouraged to come dressed as their favorite ghoul or goblin. Awards will be given for race placement and best costumes.

The city of West University Place will host a Halloween celebration at Colonial Park where residents can join an evening of pumpkin decorating, face painting and costume contests. Guests can stay after the event for a movie in the park with a showing of “Coco.”

Houston Pumpkin Festival  

Discovery Green is bringing back its annual pumpkin festival, featuring more than 50 pumpkins, the world’s largest bouncy pumpkin and a massive corn pit.

Zoo Boo 

The Houston Zoo is celebrating fall with a glowing pumpkin tunnel and 15-foot fall foliage arch, an eerie Ghost Town and seasonal treats for purchase such as apple fries and brownie churro fries. Guests are encouraged to wear family-friendly costumes.

Families can enjoy Houston’s only trick-or-treat nature trail, live animals, a Halloween market and pumpkin decorating at the Houston Arboretum’s fall-themed festival. 

St. Luke’s Pumpkin Patch 

Throughout October, families can pick out a pumpkin at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, take festive family photos and support the church’s Pure Sound Youth Choir.
