Crowson says they believe the customer, an approximately 20-year-old man, and his girlfriend had entered the grocery store with a dog and were confronted by the security guard who told them the dog was not allowed inside due to health concerns.
This led to an argument between the man and security guard, which ultimately ended in gunfire being exchanged between the two.
Police say they believe there is no threat to the public.
The woman and dog were not injured. The woman stayed behind and is being questioned by police.
