After a post on X earlier this week hinting at a surprise, many fest attendees guessed several other collaborators would grace Charli’s audience. Charli XCX surprised fans on Friday by bringing out Tinashe at her Austin City Limits Music Fest headlining set.

The singer came out to “Nobody Wanna Dance Anymore” from her recently dropped album “Popstar.”

After Charli hinted about the surprise, many fest attendees guessed several other collaborators would grace Charli’s set.

Many believed it could be Madonna, following Charli’s cameo at the MTV Video Music Awards. Others thought we’d get a “Girl, so confusing” moment with Lorde after the New Zealand singer was spotted on the first weekend dancing in the VIP section of Charli’s audience.

Tinashe was an unexpected guest for many, as she has no notable collaborations with Charli.

The singer is best known for songs like “2 On” and “All My Friends.”

Her recent album has gained popularity online. Produced by Arca, her appearance during Charli’s set featured “Melatonin” and “Nobody Wanna Dance Anymore.”
