AUSTIN, Texas — Austin-Bergstrom International Airport is expecting another busy day Friday, with more than 37,000 passengers set to depart, a day after the airport saw one of its busiest days.
Lines at Checkpoint 1 and 4 were already moderately long by 4 a.m., according to the airport. Lines at Checkpoints 2 and 3 were shorter, but airport officials warned travelers not to let that fool them.

AUS recommends arriving at least 2.5 hours before a domestic flight and three hours before an international flight, especially for travelers who need to return a rental car or check bags.
Travelers should be prepared for lines at TSA checkpoints, airline ticket counters and elsewhere in the terminal.
Additional airport staff are on site to help, according to AUS.
The rush comes as many students are off for a four-day weekend and visitors arrive for the second weekend of the Austin City Limits Music Festival, which begins Friday at Zilker Park.
