AUSTIN (KXAN) — An incredibly strong geomagnetic storm has surprised many by showing off the Northern Lights as far south as Central Texas!
Several viewers have e-mailed KXAN pictures of the aurora from places like Buchanan Dam, Giddings and Lake Marble Falls. While it’s most likely to be seen from a good camera, it’s not out of the question you can see it with the naked eye if you get away from the city lights.
