The Dallas Cowboys have listed three players out for their Thursday night game at AT&T Stadium against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and two players are questionable.

Cornerback Cobie Durant, linebacker DeMarvion Overshown and offensive tackle Drew Shelton will not be available as they all recover from hamstring injuries. Durant and Overshown are closer to a return for the team’s Week 6 matchup against the Green Bay Packers, while Shelton is “week to week” after suffering the injury in Week 4, according to head coach Brian Schottenheimer.

All-Pro left guard Tyler Smith is aiming to make his season debut after a thumb injury on his right hand required surgery just days before the season began. He returned to practice for the first time on Monday in a limited capacity, and he was upgraded to full participation on Wednesday. He is officially listed as questionable for Thursday’s game, but Dallas would have to create a roster spot if he were to play on Thursday night to bring him off the injured reserve list. If he doesn’t play, T.J. Bass will start for the fifth straight week.

“Tyler Smith is certainly an elite player,” Schottenheimer said. “T.J. Bass has been really good for us. If he goes out there and starts for us this game, he’ll play great as well.”

Wide receiver Jonathan Mingo was also listed as questionable after he came down with an illness on Wednesday that kept him off the practice field.

Other players for the Cowboys that were listed on the injury report throughout the week but carry no designation and will play on Thursday include wide receiver CeeDee Lamb (thigh), cornerback Joey Porter Jr. (ankle), safety Alijah Clark (ankle), running back Tyler Goodson (ankle), safety Malik Hooker (forearm) and outside linebacker James Houston (shoulder).

Buccaneers missing three starters and a backup

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will be without four key players on Thursday night, as quarterback Baker Mayfield (thumb) will officially miss a second consecutive game, as expected. He joins starting cornerback Benjamin Morrison (quad), starting safety Antoine Winfield Jr. (rib) and backup linebacker SirVocea Dennis (ankle/foot) as players listed as out.

Undrafted rookie quarterback Jalon Daniels will draw his second consecutive start in place of Mayfield after throwing for 148 yards and rushing for 55 yards in a 17-14 loss to the Green Bay Packers on Sunday.

“He’s an NFL quarterback, very athletic, great success at [University of] Kansas,” Schottenheimer said on Tuesday. “He’s got weapons galore. … But to play quarterback in the National Football League is extremely difficult and he’s learning on the fly, but he throws the ball well, got good velocity. He doesn’t have to do it by himself. So, we go in knowing his strengths and his weaknesses and try to make him show us more of his weaknesses.”
